t's annual message was read. The reading of the reports of the Secretaries and other documents accompanying the message was dispensed with. On motion of Mr. Orr, the several parts of the message and the various documents were referred to the appropriate committees and two hundred and fifty copies of the message and accompanying documents ordered to be printed. Mr. Orr, of S. C., presented a petition from Mrs. Margaret W. Rice, asking that Confederate bonds destroyed by accidental fire be reissued to her. Referred to the Committee of Finance.
