The Mayor had but little business before him yesterday, and consequently our police report is small. Robert Ledbetter, for stealing a silver goblet and two glass tumblers of Casper Wendlinger the night before, was remanded to the Hustings Court. Rebecca Crabbin, for being tipsy and disorderly in the street, was reprimanded and discharged. James S. Haines, for taking too much toddy was caged for the night, and then released. Edward P. Carroll, charged with stabbing George Taylor, on the 6th December last, was before the Mayor yesterday for examination. After a partial hearing, the prisoner was remanded to the Hustings Court, and because of his exceeding indisposition was admitted to bail for his appearance next Monday.
