Confederate States Congress. The proceedings of the State yesterday were opened with prayer by the Rev. Dr. Sehon, of the Methodist Church. Mr. Reade, of North Carolina, was appointed to fill the vacancy in the Committee of Finance occasioned by the retirement of the Hon. Geo. Davis, of N. C. On motion of Mr. Johnson, of Ark, it was ordered that from this time till the end of the session the Senate take calls a recess from half past 3 o'clock P. M. till seven o'clock P. M. Mthey shall be dismounted and placed in the infantry service, and their horses taken for public use, as provided for above. On motion the Senate resolved into secret session. The House met at 11 o'clock, and was opened with prayer by Rev. Dr. Sehon, of Nashville.
