500 reward. --Ran away from my plantation in the county of Powhatan, on Friday, 29th January last, two slaves, Enos and Richard. Both are black, quick, active men. Enos is about 26 years old, about 6 feet high, and well formed; very erect in his carriage, with full head of hair, peculiar voice of the North Carolina negro, from whence he came; a great singer and dancer. Richard is about 25 years old and about 5 feet 8 inches high, stout built, black, rough skin; he was bought from Essex county about a year ago. They were dressed in gray pants, jackets, and caps when they left. The above reward will be paid for their delivery to me in Richmond or Powhatan. Jno. F. Whitfield. fe 23--6t
