Mayor's Court.
--The following cases embrace all that were of interest in this Court yesterday:
Frederick Miller, charged with robbing Thomas Patterson of one gold watch valued at $1,500, the property of David McDaniel, one pair of boots worth $150, and one hat, valued at $60, the property of said Patterson, was called, but owing to the absence of witnesses the Mayor declined going into an examination of the case.
A charge was preferred against Jordan, slave of Manda Hill, of forPatterson, was called, but owing to the absence of witnesses the Mayor declined going into an examination of the case.
A charge was preferred against Jordan, slave of Manda Hill, of forcibly entering the smoke- house of George T. Moran and stealing twenty pieces of bacon, valued at $2,500. The testimony elicited proving that the offence had been committed in the county of King William, His Honor, for lack of jurisdiction, referred the case to the Justices of that county.
A fine of $20 and security for good behavior was required of Patrick Lee, charged with being drunk and assaulting and beating Henry, slave of Frank Riley.
