h Garroting. --On Wednesday night about 8 o'clock Mr. Bryant Bass was waylaid by two men near the corner of Cary and 12th streets, and robbed of eight hundred dollars in gold and silver coin. Officer Davis early yesterday morning arrested Samuel C. Ryan in a house of ill-fame in Solitude on the charge of being one of the parties who committed the robbery. Ryan was before the Mayor yesterday morning, but the witnesses not being in attendance the case was continued till to-day. About twoning arrested Samuel C.
