Lynch law in Fluvanna county, Va. --A negro boy, belonging to Joseph Bullock, of Union Mills, Fluvanna county, committed a rape upon the wife of James Walker, a soldier in the army, a short time since, and was committed to the county jail, tried and convicted of the offence. On Monday last says the Charlottesville Chronicle, about three hundred citizens, led by Walker, rescued the negro from the hands of the authorities and hung him to a tree near the village.
