Punishment of Yankee prisoners. --At a late hour Monday night a great rumpus occurred among the Yankee deserters now imprisoned in Palmer's warehouse, opposite Castle Thunder, which wound up in a free fight among themselves and throwing a brickbat out of one of the windows at the militia guard on duty. For this conduct the offenders were made to mark time four hours, from which punishment they were not relived till near day-break yesterday morning. This course of proceeding took all of the belligerent propensities out of these fellows, and as soon as the penalty was paid, down they dropped on the floor, where they fell asleep before the guard who had been placed over them could leave the building.
