He demanded the ayes and noes, which were ordered. The vote being taken on agreeing to the report, resulted — ayes 47, noes 25. So the report was concurred in. Mr. Smith, of North Carolina, from the Committee on Claims, reported back a Senate joint resolution for the relief of Wellington Goddin, with a recommendation that it pass. The resolution was taken up and passed. It authorizes an increase of the rent of Goddin's Hall, occupied by the Post Office Department.
