Mayor's Court, yesterday.
--His Honor Joseph Mayo, Mayor, resumed his seat in this Court yesterday morning.
The docket has not shown so few cases for months past, and only a few minutes were occupied in disposing of them.
The following is a summary:
Allen, slave of Joseph Culpeper, and Frank, the property of William Granger, were charged with the robbery of Terrence Roney, on Saturday night. Both of these negroes occupy rooms on the premises, and on the night of the robbery acted so suspiciously as to direct attention to their movements.
Roney did not discover his loss till about nine o'clock, and about fifteen minutes before that time they left the lot and did not return during the night.
The case was continued.
Joshua Owings, sent on to the Hustings Court at a previous examination before the Mayor, but remanded back by that body on account of a mistake in the date of the commitment, was re- examined yesterday and again sent on for indictment by the Grand Jury of
