Judge Lyon's Court.
--A. H. Sands acting as prosecuting attorney.--The time of this Court yesterday was entirely taken up with an argument by the counsel claiming a new trial for George Turner, convicted Tuesday of petit larceny, in stealing one box of tobacco from W. B. Jones, of the value of thirty six dollars. Time was taken by the Judge to consider the points involved in the case, and in the meantime the prisoner will remain in jail.
The trial of James M. D. Irvine, charged with forgery, is set for to-day.
