From Georgia. Atlanta, July 12.
--There has been no change in the position of affairs during the last few days.
The enemy are in position on the north side of the river.
There is some firing between sharpshooters, with occasional artillery firing by the enemy, without damage to us.
A small force is reported on this side of the river, about eight miles above the railroad bridge.
They keep very close to the fort.
The Governor arrived here last evening, and is urging forward everything for the defence of Atlanta.
His proclamation calling on every one between the ages of sixteen and forty five, to report at Atlantis, receives the approval of all classes.

--The enemy are massing on our right near Roswell.
A portion of the Yankee army are on the southside of the Chattahoochee.
Sherman's headquarters are near Vining's Station.
Skirmishing across the river continues near the bridge.--Everything is quiet below.
