Mayor's Court. --The following cases were before the Mayor on Saturday: Richard L. Bohannon, a young man of this city, who is generally regarded as an imbecile, was charged with stealing, on the 10th of July, a pocket book containing divers papers of value; the property of W. S. Botts. The witness against him was Mr. Bo He heard him in the house, but thinking it was some one who had a right to be there, he did not think much of the matter. In a short while afterwards, however, Bohannon started down the steps on his way into the street, when he accosted him to know what he was doing in the house. He seemed to be very simple in his manner, and see if anything had been stolen, he discovered that his pocket book was gone. Subsequent facts proved that the prisoner was the guilty party.
