We have received some gratifying particulars of the recent engagement near Winchester. The rout of the enemy was complete, equalling, if it did not surpass, tred some little loss, but nothing could withstand the valor of our troops, and with a yell they charged the enemy, who broke and ran in the wildest confusion. They were pursued for several miles beyond Winchester, when darkness compelled General Early to call off his men and allow them to rest.
