$36,000 security for his appearance to testify against certain gamblers and liquor sellers, to be tried before this term of the court, was brought before Judge Joynes, on a writ of habeas corpus, yesterday morning. The heavy security required of Reece by the Hustings Court was in consequence of a report that he intended to leave the Confederacy. None of the witnesses examined yesterday knew anything of Reece's intention to run off, and the Judge therefore discharged him, but recognized him toe Hustings Court was in consequence of a report that he intended to leave the Confederacy.
