Governor Seymour was finally selected as the man, under the fact that a few persons who pretended to be Seymour's friends in the New York delegation gave creClellan would not be nominated, and even that Seymour would be. This contest was kept up, with bittt they, wanted to kill off both McClellan and Seymour by the move. All this time the McClellan strland Legislature Green and others talked for Seymour some other man besides McClellan, but was noreceded him, and thus the contest raged. Governor Seymour finally took the floor and explained his ion was that the ultra peace party were using Seymour's name for mischief. He had no other course exciting day. The peace men all declared that Seymour had denounced McClellan, and that the New York delegation would vote for Seymour. Again the belling commenced.
