re adopted. A communication was read from the Mayor, making nominations of persons to compose the police organization for the ensuing year. For the office of Chief of Police the following nominations were made: Messrs. Reuben T. Seal, William N. Kelley, George L. Richards and E. H. Chalkley. On motion of Mr. Hill, Mr. Seal was unanimously elected to fill said office. Here followed a list of the Mayor's nominations for police officers, which were not materially changed from last yearoffice.
