The consideration of the Tax bill, which had been the order of the day for 1 o'clock, was postponed till next Monday at the same hour, and business was continued in its order on the calendar. The following bill was passed: "A bill to authorize the transfer of the Bank of Pittsylvania from the town of Chatham to the town of Danville." The bill to increase the salaries of the Governor, Judges, and other officers of the State Government, on its third reading, was discussed, and finally, on motion of Mr. Marye, referred back to the Finance Committee, with instructions to amend the same so as to admit an increase of the amounts of the several sums named.
