Resolutions were introduced into both Houses of the Kentucky Legislature yesterday declaring for the immediate abolition of slavery. Governor Bramlette, in his message, recommends the gradual emancipation and ultimate removal of the slaves; rejoices over and thanks Generals Sherman and Thomas for their victories; denounces the unwarrantable arrest of Colonel Wolford and Lieutenant-Governor Jacob; says that his object in attempting to regulate the enlistment of slaves was not to save the institution, but the people of Kentucky from an unnecessary burden in its accomplishment, and declares that Kentucky has furnished nearly seventy-six thousand soldiers to the United States army.
