Hustings court.--Judge Lyons presiding, A. Judson Crane acting prosecutor. --In this court, yesterday, the case of William Bellow, in favor of whom a writ of habeas corpus has been awarded, was called; but, for good reasons shown, the Judge continued it till this morning. Jacob N. Hoeflick, indicted for the murder of an infant negro child belonging to him, was put upon trial, and the examination of witnesses for the Commonwealth occupying the attention of the court till the hour of 3 o'clock, a recess was thereupon taken till half-past 4 o'clock. At the appointed hour, the court reassembled, when the examination of witnesses for the defence was conducted and the argument on both sides was heard. At 7 o'clock the case was given to the jury, who remained out about twenty minutes, when they returned into court, rendering as their verdict that the prisoner was not guilty of the offence charged against him. Hoeflick was thereupon discharged.
