king women, who have been engaged on Government work given out at the arsenal, was held in Philadelphia on Friday. Mrs. Martha Yeager was selected to occupy the chair. Before taking the chair, Mrs. Yeager stated that the subject of the meeting was Mrs. Yeager stated that the subject of the meeting was one of great importance, and that in consequence of the contract system the work at the arsenal is gradually diminishing, and poor working women are likely to be left at the mercy of heartless contractors. She stated that many of these contractors women now was to make a direct appeal to the President of the United States, who would listen to the story of wrong. Mrs. Yeager continued at some length, when the following resolutions were unanimously adopted: Whereas, there seems to be a vor he was the friend of the poor working women, and did all he could for them in giving out work at living rates. Mrs. Yeager, Mrs. Brooks, Mrs. Davison and Mrs. Alexander were appointed a committee to go to Washington, when the meeting adjourn
