Robberies. --On Sunday night, the residence of Mrs. Hannah Malcolm, in the upper end of Sidney, was burglariously entered while the family were at church and robbed of about fifteen hundred dollars' worth of flour, bacon, etc., and a valuable parlor carpet. The rear basement window was prized up, thereby affording the thieves free access to the building and enabling them to pass from room to room, none of the interior doors being fastened. On the same night, the meat-house of William E. Whitcomb, of Chesterfield, was broken into and robbed of five hundred pounds of bacon. The store-house of William Kerhle, in Screamersville, was forcibly entered on Sunday night and one barrel of flour, together with a lot of bacon and some corn meal, was carried off.
