Mayor's Court, yesterday. --Freeman Powell, the young man who cut and stabbed Patrick O'Donnell on last Sunday week, on the south side of the Basin, from the effects of which O'Donnell died on last Saturday, was brought into court for an examination; but the Mayor having had placed in his hands the evidence and verdict of the Coroner's inquest, no examination was gone into, and Powell was remanded for the Hustings Court, which sets on the second Monday in April next, and the witnesses recognized for their appearance at that time. Thomas, slave of Gates Thompson, was charged with stealing two ladies' dresses, and other articles to the value of one thousand dollars, belonging to William Valentine. The evidence was not conclusive enough, and His Honor thought Mr. Valentine should be present to testify; therefore he continued the case until to-day. George Finnegan and Spartan Webb were charged with having in their possession a bag of meal, supposed stolen from some person
