Police arrest. --The Mayor's police arrested yesterday afternoon, and locked up in the lower station- house, a white man, named James Griffin, charged with obtaining, by false pretences, a load of straw, the property of N. F. Bowe, of Henrico county. The Mayor will investigate the matter this morning.
