Virginia Legislature.[Extra Session.] Senate. Friday, March 31, 1865. The Senate was called to order by Mr. Newman, of Mason, President protem. A communication was received from the Governor, containing the resignation of Mr. Robert R. Collier, Senator from Petersburg. On motion, the communication was laid on the table. Mr. Neeson thought a writ of election should be issued to supply the vacancy occasioned by the resignation of Mr. Collier. Agreed to. Joint resolutiMr. Collier. Agreed to.
