Fighting.
--Benjamin C. Dews and B. Jacobs were before the Mayor yesterday on a charge of fighting in an auction room.
It proved to have been a case of competition in bidding for goods, and they got very much excited, and Dews struck Jacobs in the face and afterwards drew a knife upon him. The affair occurred at Digges's auction store, under the St. Charles Hotel.
