But instead of running into the snare prepared for him, Jackson knows his opponents are beyond supporting distance of McClellan, so is ordered to advance rapidly on their right and rear, while we cooperate by an attack in front. This is evidently the plan, and, if properly executed, will redound to the glory of Lee, who framed it.
