Communicated. Miss Lucy Osgood was a dignified looking woman of striking appearance, but with features cast in a somewhat masculine mould. She knew her lack of beauty, as this story she told attests, I was walking through the rooms of one of the large department stores then recently opened when I saw coming towards me the homeliest woman I ever saw. When she got nearer to me I saw it was Miss Lucy Osgood.
