Yesterday afternoon the Petersburg Artillery, Capt Nichols, and the Norfolk Artillery, Capt. Vickery, were sent down to Craney Island, to protect the works now in progress of construction at that post, under the direction of Major R. Henry Glenn, of the Engineer Department.
