The New York Fire Zouaves mounted several cannon yesterday on their breastworks, just west of Alexandria, and heavy guns are being mounted all along the line of earthworks between that city and Arlington Heights. Yesterday President Lincoln, accompanied by Secretaries Cameron and Chase, paid a visit to the camps over the river, where they were received with great enthusiasm. The party spent some time in examining the fortifications, and left highly pleased with the completeness and perfection of the arrangements for defence. The disunion troops from Leesburg burnt, last Saturday, four bridges on the Alexandria, Loudon and Hampshire Railroad--Tuscarora, Lycoline, Goose Creek and Beaver Dams: three of 140 to 200 feet, and one of 50--being the balance of the bridges from Leesburg to Broad Run.
