Double murder. --A double murder was recently committed at the Aldershott encampment, England. A private soldier named Johnson had been reprimanded and reported for punishment, and fired his rifle at a sergeant named Chipt. The shot passed clear through the sergeant's body, killing him and a corporal who was seated opposite to him. Johnson has been tried and sentenced to Death, but as there is some doubt as to his sanity, he probably will be imprisoned for life.
