Extraordinary shooting. --A match was made in Mobile, Alabama, a few days since, between two citizens of that place, $150 aside, with the muzzle loading rifle and the breach-loading rifle. The former, a muzzle-loading rifle, was made by a citizen of Mobile, and backed it to the amount of $150 at three hundred yards. We give the result: Distance 300 yards with the muzzle-loading rifle, with rest, ten shots measuring 33 8-16 inches, aggregate. Distance 200 yards, with the Maynard breech-loading rifle, with rest, ten shots measuring 29 2 16 inches aggregate. Nine consecutive shots from the Maynard rifle, averaging 2 1-12 inches. One hundred dollars of the money goes to the Military Relief Fund, of Mobile, and fifty dollars for clothing sent to a Mobile company in Virginia.
