The crops. --The wheat harvest is now upon us. Some persons in this section of country have already commenced reaping forward crops and others are making preparations for the work. We are gratified to learn that the yield, contrary to expectation sometime ago, will generally be a good one. The weather has been exceedingly favorable to this gram for a month or two past, and the heads have filled out beautifully. There is no complaint about rust or chinch bug. We have similar reports from all the adjacent counties in this State and North Carolina. --Dan — ville Register.
