--At a meeting of the Central Railroad Directors, this afternoon, Dean Richmond was re-elected president, and R. M. Blatchford vice-president.
Dean Richmond is understood to be a friend of the Southern people.
He is a leader among the Democrats of the Fernando Wood school.
This election, and many other facts, show that we have much to hope for in the liberal sentiments of the thinking men of the Northern States; not that we suppose Mr. Richmond was elected as a Southern sympathizer, but for the simple reason that he was not proscribed on that account.
