To the people of the country.
--The undersigned, a sub-committee of the general committee of Richmond for the reception and accommodation of sick and wounded soldiers from the scene of war, respectfully solicit from the country contributions of chickens, eggs, fresh butter, sage, and other articles, which may contribute to the comfort of our disabled men. Parcels may be sent to the stores of Geo. Wait & Co., Franklin street, below Exchange Hotel; W. G. Dandridge, Broad st., near 9th; Spotts & Harvey, 14th street, near Mayo's Bridge.
Contributions in money may be sent to I. W. Walker, Chairman of the Collecting Committee, Sheriff's office, Main st.
The following gentlemen of the county have been appointed to act in their respective neighborhoods in further enlisting sympathy and securing contributions:
