The Alexandra.
The latest foreign news announces that the Alexandra was to be delivered up to her owners on the 25th April. We do not understand what is meant by fixing a day for the ceremony of giving to the owners what has been decided to be their property, unless it be deemed that there are other persons interested who should have notice of the event in order to take care of their interests.
Is it intended to give opportunity to the emissaries of the Lincoln Government to hatch up another complaint to subject her to still further detention?
We shall see. We shall not believe that the British Government will allow the Alexandra to leave port until she has fairly reached the sea beyond her jurisdiction.

From North Georgia. Atlanta, Ga., May 11.
--A storm last night blow down the telegraph lines at Dalton, and they are not yet repaired.
The train from Dalton this morning arrived here, and communications are maintained as usual this morning.
At Dalton there was heavy firing heard at Mill Creek Gap, which continued sharp till sunrise.
It became slower when the train left, leaving the impression that the enemy had made two assaults upon Mill Creek Gap and were repulsed.
No particulars have been received.
The enemy continued still cautiously approaching our position on both wings and centre.
It is reported they are 80,000 strong, in three columns, commanded by Thomas, Hooker, and Howard.
