Excellent arrangement. --We learn that two ambulance cars are now in course of preparation at the shops of the Central Railroad Company in this city, the purpose being to run one in Connection with every passenger train to and from Manassas. Each of these ambulances will contain twenty-two Slagle and eleven double berths, capable of accommodating forty four persons. Under the skillful direction of Mr. Chiles, the master of car repairs, they will be arranged with due regard to comfort and convenience, and will render the journey of the invalid soldier comparably easy. It is probable that they will be ready in a week or two.
Cloaks, Cloaks. --We have commenced the manufacture of Cloaks for the season.-- We have now made up a fine assortment, and shall be prepared, so long as we can get Cloths, to make to order any style of wrapping wanted. We have a lot of Striped Cloth Cloaks now on hand, which we will sell at a great reduction from former prices. They are well adapted to the Fall season, and we think they will be found very desirable. [se 26] Chiles & Chenery.
