εἰσα^γώγ-ιμος , ον,
A.that can or may be imported, opp. ἐξαγώγιμος, Arist.Oec.1345a21 ; “τὰ εἰ.” imports, Id.Pol.1280a39 ; “τέχνη εἰ.” requiring to be imported, foreign, Pl.Lg.847d ; “εἰ. λαβεῖν” E.Fr.984 ; εἰ. πόλεις, of colonies, opp. the αὐτόχθονες of Athens, ib.360.10.
II. as law-term, of a plea, maintainable, “μὴ εἰσαγώγιμον εἶναι τὴν δίκην” D.33.3,35.45, cf. Lys.23.5, Din.1.46, PHal.1.37 ; εἰ. χρήματα, with play on sense 1, D.32.23.
