زُمَّلٌ ذ (S, K) and ↓ زُمَلٌ and ↓ زِمْلٌ [said in the CK to be like عِدَةٌ, but correctly like عِدْلٌ,] and ↓ زَمِلٌ and ↓ زُمَيْلٌ (K) and ↓ زُمَّيْلٌ and ↓ زُمَّالٌ (S, K) and ↓ زِمْيَلٌّ and ↓ زُمَيْلَةٌ and ↓ زُمَّيْلَةٌ (K, or this is fem., S) and ↓ زُمَّالَةٌ (K) Cowardly, weak, (S, K, TA,) low, mean, or contemptible; who wraps himself up in his house, or tent; not rising and hastening to engage in warfare; indolently refraining from aspiring to great things.
