حُجْنَةٌ حجن حجنه حجننه حجنة : see حَجَنٌ. ― -b2- Also Crispness [or recurvation] in the extremities of hair. (T, TA. [See أَحْجَنُ.]) ― -b3- A place of crookedness or curvature (ISd, TA) of a staff or stick. (TA.) ― -b4- The hook in the head of a spindle, (S, * K, * TA,) with which the thread is caught preparatively to the twisting thereof. (TA.) ― -b5- The خُوصَة, (K,) or خُوص, (S,) [i. e.] the leaves [or blades], (TA,) of ثُمَام [or panic grass]; (S, K, TA;) as also ↓ حَجَنَةٌ . (K.) And ↓ حَجَنٌ [of which ↓ حَجَنَةٌ is the n. un., if not a mistranscription of حُجَنٌ,] Tender, or soft, shoots, that grow upon the sides of the stalks of the ثُمَام and the ضَعَة [which is said to be a species of ثُمَام]. (TA.) And حُجَنٌ, pl. of حُجْنَةٌ, The fruit-stalks of grapes. (TA.) -A2- Also A thing, or portion of a thing, that one has drawn and appropriated to oneself. (TA.)
