غطم

غِطَمٌّ ذ A great sea, (S, K, TA,) abundant in water; (S, TA;) and ↓ غِطْيَمٌّ , (K, TA,) like قِرْشَبُّ, (TA,) [in the CK غَطِيْم,] signifies the same; as also ↓ غَطَمْطَمٌ : (K, TA:) one says بَحْرٌ غِطَمٌّ. (S.) ― -b2- And (assumed tropical:) A man large (S, K) in disposition (S) or dispositions; (K;) [i. e.] liberal, or bountiful: (TA:) one says رَجُلٌ غِطَمٌّ. (S.) ― -b3- And A numerous company, or collective body: (K, TA:) one says جَمْعٌ غِطَمٌّ. (S, TA.) And ↓ عَدَدٌ غِطْيَمٌّ , like قِرْشَبٌّ, A large number. (TA.)
