مَحَبَّةٌ محب محبه محبة : see حُبٌّ. ― -b2- Also A cause of love or affection: (Jel in xx. 39:) [pl. مَحَابُّ, like مَحَاشُّ pl. of مَحَشَّةٌ, &c.] You say, أُوتِىَ فُلَانٌ مَحَابَّ القُلُوبِ [Such a one was gifted with qualities that are the causes of the love of hearts]. (A, TA.)
