Med. has ‘verum.’ ‘Verus nuntius’ is explained by Heyne “ut vere ille sis quem voltus nuntiat:” but it is perhaps better to suppose Andromache to mean ‘one who can really give me news,’ as a living friend after a separation of years would be able to do.
