School
This term is used somewhat loosely with regard to vase painting by Beazley, but it is similar to the terms 'workshop' and 'followers.' In general, the school of a painter is composed of those painters who are influenced by his work, some directly and some indirectly. 'School-pieces' of the Berlin Painter, for example, are vases painted by artists whose work embodies elements characteristic of the Berlin Painter. Sometimes, 'school-pieces' are equated to imitations of a painter's work.
