ORDAN-LARROQUE Gers, France.

A large Roman villa of the Late Empire at Saint-Brice-de-Cassan on the left bank of the Aulouse has been under excavation since 1966. The villa has decorative elements characteristic of the 4th c.: facings in white marble from Saint-Béat, polychrome mosaics of geometric design, painted pargets. After its abandonment, it was used as a cemetery in the Middle Ages, like many other villae in the Southwest.
