COCUSUS (Göksun, Maraş) Cappadocia, Turkey.

Important road junction with route to Germaniceia (Maraş) on highway from Caesarea Mazaca to Melitene, from which it is about 127 Roman miles. Many milestones have been recorded in the vicinity. The site is marked by a large mound which has produced sherds from the middle Chalcolithic through the Roman and Byzantine periods. Like Coxon, Cocusus lay on the route of the first Crusade.
