PEYMENADE Alpes-Maritimes, France.

Two km SW of Grasse are numerous remains of a Gallo-Roman settlement or farming estate: millstones, dolia, terra sigillata ware, coins, tiles. There is the stela of a flaminica (CIL XXI, 185, now in the Cannes Museum). Recent excavations have brought to light a large villa rustica of the Imperial Age containing an oil-processing establishment.
