SARBAZAN Landes, France.

Gallo-Roman villa of Mouneyres excavated in 1891-92. It consists of a rectangle (40 x 42 m) around a central court, and adjoining constructions; five rooms had mosaic floors with designs of plants and animals (foliated scrolls, vines, grapes, ivy, baskets of flowers and fruit, blackbirds, thrushes). One floor had a design of diabolos. A bath building 200 m SE consists of three rooms, one of them a three-lobed pool paved with a mosaic with a design of dolphins. The villa was used from the 3d c. on.
