[1058] Since οὐκ ἔστιν ὅπως, οὐκ ἂν γένοιτο ὅπως mean “there is, there could be found, no way in which, ” τοῦθ᾽ is abnormal; yet it is not incorrect: “this thing could not be attained, namely, a mode in which,” etc. Cp. the mixed constr. in Soph. Aj. 378 “οὐ γὰρ γένοιτ᾽ ἂν ταῦθ᾽ ὅπως οὐχ ὧδ᾽ ἔχειν” (instead of ἕξει).
