ὃ μὴ σὺ...βούλου παθεῖν, referring to τὰ θεἶ ἀφείς etc. To divulge the “ἐξάγιστα” (1526) would be ἀφεῖναι τὰ θεῖα. Thuc. 2.43 “ὠφελίαν, ἣν ἄν τις πρὸς οὐδὲν χεῖρον αὐτοὺς ὑμᾶς εἰδότας μηκύνοι”: ib. 36 “μακρηγορεῖν ἐν εἰδόσιν οὐ βουλόμενος”: Il. 10.250 “εἰδόσι γάρ τοι ταῦτα μετ᾽ Ἀργείοις ἀγορεύεις”. Cp. on 1038.
